This used 1948 Chevrolet fire engine was Aldie VFD's first fire engine.  This engine cost $5500, and served Aldie until 1972 when it was destroyed by flash flooding during Tropical Storm Agnes.  Photo credit unknown.Aldie's First Fire Engine

This unit ran as Wagon 7 from 1996-2007.  This unit had a 430 hp Detroit Diesel engine, a 1500 gpm pump, a 750 gallon water tank, and a 7.5 kw Onan generator.  A good portion of this truck was paid for by donations from the Gudelsky Family and Chantilly Crushed Stone.  This photo was taken while the unit operated at a working house fire on Lime Kiln Rd. This International pickup was the only green piece of apparatus ever owned by Aldie, and it was eventually painted red by the firemen.  It was sold in 1980 to the Milton Gulick Farm.
