2011 Aldie Firequacker Duck Race Results!
Sat. Oct 15th 2011

The 2011 Aldie Firequacker Duck Race is over!  This was a record year, with 8022 ducks adopted!  The weather was perfect, the crowds were great, and Chuck the Duck had a great time walking through the village with the Hooters Girls from Chantilly!

Due to dangerous river currents, only the Sponsor Race was run.  Instead, the Firequacker Ducks were dumped into a fire department portable water tank, stirred and blended for an hour, and the ten winners were then randomly selected from the tank.  The ten winners won the prizes, and their numbers were then checked against the prize insurance company computer.  None of the ten winners was the $100,000 Lucky Duck, so this prize was not awarded.

The 2011 Aldie Firequacker Duck Race winners were as follows:

Duck # 2547, Kathy Kennedy, won a $900 Birthday Party Package from Pev's Paintball

Duck # 6182, Ryan Sheehan, won a 32" Panasonic TV

Duck # 2180, Barbara Fant, won $100

Duck # 1290, Ricky Alford, won a $25 gift card from Safeway

Duck # 7260, David Tucker, won a $25 gift certificate from Little Apple Pastry Shop.

Duck # 5707, Mary Fangman, won a $25 gift certificate from Little Apple Pastry Shop.

Duck # 2839, Janice Clarke, won a $25 gift certificate from Little Apple Pastry Shop.

Duck # 8020, Joe Mason, won a $25 gift certificate from Little Apple Pastry Shop.

Duck # 1350, Mark Sheridan, won $20

Duck # 0375, Carrie-Anne Mosley, won $20

The winner of the Sponsor Race was the Byers Law Group, with their duck named "Scooter".  Byers Law Group won a beautiful plaque to proudly hang in their office!

Thanks to ALL of our fabulous sponsors, and to everyone who adopted ducks or helped us otherwise.  We will begin planning next year's race in the Spring, so stay tuned for details!

Pictures from the event will be coming soon on our web site and Facebook page, www.facebook.com/AldieFirequackerDuckRace!  Our supporters are Quacktacular!
