It is with deep regret that we announce that the 2012 Aldie Firequacker Duck Race has been cancelled.  This is our largest annual fundraiser, but due to construction on our property and the possibility of construction on our building, the Aldie Volunteer Fire Department has decided to not hold the race this year.  With the status of the construction projects being unknown prior to race day, we have opted to bow out this year rather than risk disappointing lots of kids (and adults).

The Aldie Harvest Festival is still scheduled to be held on Saturday, October 20, 2012.  Information about this event may be found via www.villageofaldie.com

We will re-evaluate as to if or when the 2013 Aldie Firequacker Duck Race will be held.  Those who have donated for the 2012 Aldie Firequacker Duck Race via sponsorship and/or by adopting ducks will receive their reimbursement by check via US Mail as soon as possible.
