On Friday, the Aldie VFD rented a box truck and loaded it with surplus fire and EMS equipment, tools, a generator, fire hose, a hose rack, and other supplies that we had at our old station

Today, we made the 817 mile round trip to the Jasper Fire Department in Lee County, Virginia, to donate those items to them.
Three years ago, we became friends with the Jasper FD when we took a truckload of surplus fire hose and other equipment to them. We found that they were still in need of equipment, so we gladly made the trip back down there.
