By Aldie Volunteer Fire Department Official
August 14, 2025

Effective this morning, Loudoun County Fire and Rescue has placed Tanker 607 and Safety Officer 603 from the Aldie Fire and Rescue Station into service. These units are staffed 24/7 by LCFR career personnel.

Tanker 607 features a 1500 gallon-per-minute pump and carries 3000 gallons of water. Currently, a reserve unit is serving as Tanker 607, and, although temporary, a Mack truck is once again serving the Aldie area. The Aldie VFD had at least one Mack fire apparatus in service from 1978 through 2005, with an all-Mack lineup between 1989 and 1996.
